When you are ovulating your cervix gets very soft and mushy like your lips. It begins to open a little and it is angled upward.

After you have ovulated your cervix begins to angle downward, closes up, and becomes very hard like the tip of your nose.

There is no real way to tell for sure about angle because we are all different so you just have to feel around and compare at both times. The change is distinctive at both times. There is a problem though, if you have had children in the past your cervix may feel as if it is open a little bit, even though it may not be.

I am on Provera, doing the basal thermometer, cervical changes, and cervical mucous testing as well as ovulation kits. My doctor and I were trying to figure out if I was really ovulating, which I do maybe every two to three months. Very bad for conceiving!!!!! Good luck!!!

I posted a link under the OPK&HPT section called "great site for cervcal positions." You may have to go back a page, but its there and it is a great informative site for brfore during and after ovulation. Check it out, it will help a lot!!!
