Knowing your cycle well and knowing as close as possible the days that you ovulate.

If you have a 28 day cycle, make sure you BD every couple of days starting at about 10 days after your period until you start (or are suppose to start) your next period.

Hope this helps some!

I don't know what it means either, but I think she means either "have sex" or do an ovulation test...or both! Good luck...I'm TTC too!

I heard somewhere that BD stands for "bed dancing" - reference to having sex, but I'm not totally sure on that

Hi there - I highly recommend getting your hands on the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It explains what to look for when you are ovulating, and LOTS of other info - Charting, etc. GL!

The spotting you are talking about could be implantation bleeding. Between 6-10 days after conception, the egg implants into the uterine wall and some women experience spotting during that time. As far as the signs go, some women claim to feel symptoms as soon as a few days after conception (sore bb's, nausea, fatigue, watery mouth, dizziness, etc.). Good luck to you!! Hopefully, the spotting you are seeing is a new little life forming!

The spotting may possibly be implantation bleeding (implantation usually takes place around 6-10 dpo "days past ovulation"). Usually symptoms don't start until about when your AF is due (that's not true for everyone & some women feel symptoms earlier.) I have tons of symptoms, but they could all be in my mind or be symptoms of other things (indigestion, shortness of breath, etc.)

Check out the articles on parentsplace for lots of information. I think there are links at the top of this forum, but if not just go on parentsplace.com & start looking around. I really learned SO much from this site when I was pg with my first.

Best wishes! Beth
