Ruptured Follicles...anyone???

Just a question: first time posting, so don't know all of the abbreviations...trying to get pregnant, and on clomid. My GYN just told me that I had a few follicles rupture on my right side...she did a vaginal ultrasound to determine this. I was having lower abdominal pain and cramping, so I contacted my GYN. Although she said that this was nothing to worry about, how can you not? Anyone experience this, and do you know if this is a step in the right or wrong direction in terms of conceiving??? Should I have my hopes up for this month? I am due to test on the 12th, and can't wait...Any feedback would be wonderful. Thanks.

You are most definitely in the right direction. The follicles rupturing means that you had eggs that were released. You had a few on clomid, that is GREAT!! How many cycles have you been on clomid? The more follicles that grow and rumpture, in my experience with clomid, the more you feel it. My last cycle on clomid, ovulation almost brought me to my knees. LOL You have a great chance this month. What was the reason for puting you on clomid?

BABY DUST to you!

I was put on clomid due to issues with irregular cycles, therefore not being able to detect ovulation times...thanks for the imput...I believe my doc said there were two or three follicles that ruptured, but I am glad to hear that it is going in the right direction...that is reassuring. It is very painful, as I found out this past month. Does that merely mean that I ovulated, or does that mean that something else took place, as well? Thanks for the imput, and I will check the other page...
