Is it remotely possible to be 3 months pregnant and not know it? The thing is I'm on a birth control pill that I've been on for just over 4 years now and I've NEVER had a problem. I'm now just about finished w/the 3rd week of pills and I've had my period for the last 2 weeks...steady. Obviously the easiet way to get the answer would be taking a test, but I've yet to get to the store because I have it set in my mind that pregnancy is not the cause.

Can anyone relate?

If you were pregnant, I can't see you bleeding steadily for two straight weeks. I would get into my doctor ASAP to discuss what's going on because there may be something else going on there! Good luck and stay healthy!

Thanks ror the reply.
Since I posted I've rec'd a call back from my doctor, her first words were wy don't you take a pregnancy test....i told her there's been no "activity" in a little over 3 months and her response was if nothings changes by next week call me back.

Sounded a little strange to me, but she's the doctor....

You mean you don't remember the last time sex occoured? The doctor may be right in waiting because you know stress can really mess up your body and your hormones? Is this the first time this happened? I've had spotting and heavy periods for a while now and I can't get regulated. I've tried four different bc control pills and the only advice the doctor could tell me was that may it is not strong enough? I must be fertile. This period I'm having right now is Odd so just for peace of mind and to follow up do the pregnacy test it only costs what $10 for EPT?

I have had a similar experience. I think it was last year, but I too would not stop. If I did stop, it would only be for about 3-5 days & I would start all over again anyway. I found out in spring of 2004 that I have idiopathic hyperprolactinemia. Long word, but basically = high prolactin secretions from the pituitary gland. It can cause AF to go away, or to not stop. It is not common, but is treatable by medication. I highly recommend going to a $ store. If it's negative, I would ask your doctor to check your prolactin levels. Because of my high levels, at only 30, I am in the beginning stages of osteoperosis. I now take calcium suppliments, prenatal vitamins, parodel (twice a day -for the prolactin), and high blood pressure medicine (twice a day.) Unfortunatly- high prolactin levels can make you temporarily unable to have children, and make you begin to lactate. I had (or nearly had) pre-eclampsia with my son 7 years ago. Now with all my additional problems, my DH & I are trying because I feel time is running out for relativly safe pg. Heck, I can already fall down the wrong way & break my hip. So please, I highly recommend checking your prolactin levels. It's just a simple blood test (usually you get results in 2-5 days.) Good luck - and keep me posted. I would not wish this on anyone, but I admit I would not mind having someone else to talk to about it as well.
