2 AFs within 2 weeks-which AF do i go by

Okay. Well to begin, my last regular and expectd AF started Dec. 15 and lasted its regular 6 days. I was to start my new pack of bcp on that sunday (being the 17th) but got them refilled late, took my sunday one on wed. night (planning on catching up taking 2 a day) then forget it thurs. nite (i'm bad taking them) so i decided to just scrap that pack and being a new pack the next sunday (being xmas eve). So then i wake up xmas morning with AF again. When she just left less than a week before. It lasted for 3 days, the first day being as heavy as my regular period, and the next two days light.
So i have been faithfully taking my pills since xmas eve, but I had a slip-up and had unprotected sex NYE. Now this is where i get

thanks for that - that helped a lot - But would messing up my pills like that have an effect on my CDs??? Would it still technically be CD 17 that i had unprotected sex??
TIA!
I'm almost positive that breakthrough bleeding won't affect what CD you are on. Like if you miss a few pills and have BTB on CD 12-14 those are still CD 12-14. However your real period might be a few days early/late so don't freak out if it doesn't show up right away.
When I was on bcp i only had btb once and it was when I missed 4 pills in one week and I didn't start a new pack like it said I just took 2 until I caught up. I still started my normal period at the normal time or I might have been one day early i forget but I do know that it didn't affect it too much.
All your "period" is when you are on bcp is basically withdrawl bleeding from not having the hormones in your body. Its a medically induced "period". Thats why if you miss pills you can have some bleeding because it was just like finishing up your pills for a few days. I'm guessing since you said you were around CD 17 when this happened that your pills still protected you in the sense that you probably didn't ovulate.
Follow any instructions on your bcp pack as to how to finish this pack/start a new one and if you did just scrap that pack and start a new pack then as long as you take these ones correctly the whole way through you shouldn't start your next "period" until normal time in that cycle pack. However you might have some spotting around the time you would have had your period in the other pack.
Hope I helped a little bit I missed pills constantly when I was on bcp i'm shocked I didn't end up pregnant lol.
