Symptom Question

Hi Everyone, this is my very first time here, so please forgive if my question is one that you have seen a billion times before. I will try to be specific to my case.

My husband & I had unprotected sex on May 05, a week before my period started. I had my period but it was a little unusual, not very heavy & shorter. I did not ovulate that I can remember or it was so slight that it was unnoticable. My ovulation is usually VERY noticable. (It was normal the month before).

I am NOT on the pill; have not been since we married last year in April.

I am now a week late with my period. It feels like I was trying to start but nothing. I have been queasy feeling for over a week, am exhausted & my whole body just feels heavy. Sorry but that is the best way I can describe it. My breasts do not hurt but, again, feel heavy.

I have had really no changes in lifestyle. My periods have always been pretty regular on & off the pill. I home tested this morning but it was negative.

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions of what could be happening with my body. Did I test too early to generate a positive? We plan to try again in mid-week if I have not started by then. Or could this be a sign of something else going on other than a pregnancy?

Would love to hear from others about this. I really do appreciate your time.

Sometimes your body will not release any hCG into your urine which would cause a neg. even if you were pregnant. Since you are already late, I would say to test in a couple days with an early detection test and first morning urine, if it is still neg. then ask your doctor for a blood test (try to get a quantitative, as opposed to qualitative, test done so you can see your numbers).

Good Luck!
