It's been a while since I posted anything and I have yet another question that is driving me crazy. I had my last period on Dec.27,2007 but my period has not come yet, although my cycle is not regular it's been 37 days since my last period and I took a pregnancy test yesterday that came back negative so should I wait to re-test and how long should I wait? Are there any other factors that may cause my period not to come on?
By the way my cycle ranges from 27-33 days.
I could not get a doctor's appointment until February 13, but I really can't stop thinking about this, so any advice would be helpful!
Thanks a lot.....

When I found out I was pregnant I was so worried about getting a negative that I didn't test until after day 40. But there were several factors involved: 1) it was my first month off birth control and I knew that sometimes it can take up to 3 months to regulate your cycle and even get your period back. 2) I had actually taken a really cheap pregnancy test earlier but it came up inconclusive so that only made me further want to wait. Looking back, I was silly to wait so long to test just because I was afraid of getting a negative. Anyway, my advice to you is to maybe try another brand of pregnancy test and take another one in a few days. Also when I thought I was pregnant I read up on all the symptoms of pregnancy and tried to match them with my own. I don't know if you've been pregnant before, but the symptoms can feel a lot like you're just getting your period (cramping, swollen breasts, etc). I know this is a time of a lot of confusion for you, but just be patient and keep testing until you either get a positive, get your period, or go to the doctor. Sorry if that wasn't much help...good luck!
