Unfortunately a blood test is only as good as the lab/person reading it. Perhaps you could get the BT redone, even if at another lab (probably plenty of free/low-cost clinics in your area? I don't know where you're at but you may want to check that out). I don't want to give you any false hope, but maybe there is a possibility they misdiagnosed you and you didn't really miscarry?
Either their test was wrong or misread *OR* perhaps a false positive on your POAS? You mention that you took a test today... what kind was it? Unfortunately some brands are known to give false BFP (see www.peeonastick.com) . It certainly can't hurt to take another one, esp. another brand (internet cheapie, FRER are good ones.
GL and let us know what you decide to do!
ETA another point... How many blood tests did they do? The reason I ask (just thought about this right after I posted) is that one number alone means nothing. For betas to be worth anything there has to be at least 2 BT done, to compare the numbers and see if they are falling or rising or what...
My period was due Wed. of last week and I am a clock work 28 days kinda girl so I knew something was up when I missed my period. So this is something like day 36 for me. This is just so confusing. If they screwed up I'm thinking sue their butts for putting me through all this mental anguish of thinking I miscarried when I really didn't. Also I took a generic FRER test that I got from Walgreens and it showed up with a dark positive within 30 seconds or so. I'm just so shocked. How can you read a blood test wrong. I have never heard of that before but I guess there is a first time for everything.
Where are you at in your cycle?

I'm going to suggest you call your family doctor and ask them to do a blood test for you.
