In March I went on Lybrel, so I don't get my period at all if I take it correctly. I was on the shot before that, so I took Lybrel for one month and then I forgot to get it refilled (first time I'd been on the pill in 4 years) and I got a normal period. The problem is, I'm a very forgetful person, and I am pretty lax about taking my pill at the same time every day. I've never forgotten it for more than 3 days in a row, though.
About a month ago (I know, you're already going "only a month?!" but I know my body) I had unprotected sex after some alcohol was consumed. Now, for about the last week and a half, I'm really tired, I get a headache almost every day, my breasts seem bigger and heavier, I'm nauseous most of the time, things that I've always liked taste funny to me, I can smell EVERYTHING, and I've been craving apples with peanut butter.
This is all very strange for me, and I need to know if, by chance, anything else can cause all of those things.

if it's been a month, you can take an hpt and should get an accurate result.

So, I counted. It's been 32 days as of today. I took one test three days ago, and another today. Both were negative, but the nausea is getting worse; it pretty much lasts all day. Still having a problem with oversensitive sense of smell, and all I want to do is eat blue freezies and lay down with an ice pack on my head, lol. I'm 18, and there is no history of early menopause in my family, so I can only assume it's not that. I am thinking that next week I'll go in for a blood test just to confirm one way or the other...I tried calling today, but I forgot that the clinic here closes at noon on Fridays.
I guess I'll report one way or the other next week. Just thought I'd post an update and thank you guys for the help.
I had something similar about six months ago, I could not get out of bed for days I was so nauseous. I was six days late and had taken two hpt, both negative. I started my period and was fine after. My doctor could not tell me anything but he wasn't very helpful (I have switched doctors) A blood test will give you a definite answer but our bodies do interesting things when hormones are involved.

I went in today. They weren't going to do a blood test, but I wanted to know. It was negative, but...
- I still haven't gotten my period (stopped pill to see if I'd get it, normally I get it within 2-3 days of missing pills, it's been over a week)
- I have started getting heartburn (very uncommon for me)
- Still pretty nauseus, unfortunately.
- There's definitely been more, ah, discharge than normal -blushes-
- My boobs are also larger than normal, and I happen to know for a fact that the nipples are darker (an observation made by a friend while I was changing)
So, what the hell??
