Lunch at Applebee's was nice. My friend & I are talking about taking a little trip, yet neither of us needs to shop, so maybe a day trip to a museum or gallery. I love spending time in art galleries, but she'd probably be bored. I'm sure we'll think of something!

Rosemary's account of her time with DGS reminds me of some special times with mine. In an attempt to take his mind off his Mom (who walked out on both DS & DGS when he was 4 years old...a sad time) we'd stop at the iron & metal salvage yard on our way home from daycare to watch a gigantic crane pick up smashed cars & load them on railroad cars. The crane operator would always wave to him. DGS who is now 12 years old still remembers & occasionally mentions it.

More cleaning today:-( It does feel good when everything looks spiffy, so I'd better get busy. 'til later! Cal

One of the things my girlfriend and I like to do is choose a small town within an hour's drive and go exploring. We wander the residential streets admiring the old houses, eat at one of the local cafe's and chat with the people there, wander through the stores in the commercial area, go antiquing etc. It makes for a pleasant afternoon.
