Sorry to confuse you Kaci. I was in central WI Thursday afternoon and night. Back home now WITH my rocks. Each was hand picked so they are special to me. (I'm easily pleased! LOL!) It looks like I've encouraged Martha and Judi to be rock thieves however. I'd better Fed Ex them some rocks ASAP or there won't be any left in public places in Iowa or Florida! LOL!
Looking forward to Lion King this afternoon then dinner out with ds and ddil, her dm, my dh and mil. Tomorrow will be brunch with ds and ddil and then will take Velma to a lilac festival if it's nice out. I've never been to it and it's only 45 minutes away. Busy weekend!
What are you all doin' for Mother's Day?
This will be my first Mother's Day without my mom. It hasn't hit yet but I think it will tomorrow. My younger sister is having a bad time which surprised her.
Enjoy the weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.

Where is the lilac festival? If I remember correctly, Lombard is the lilac city or something like that. Is it there? Here my lilacs are still tight shut although in town some ofthem are starting to open. I just love lilacs. I finished mowing about half of the lawn this morning. Now I'm going to try to talk ds into doing the rest while I take the walk-behind mower to do some trim. Then, I'd like to dig out a couple of my little bleeding hearts and take them over by dd. She's starting a place for them. Is this an ok time of the year to move them? I sure hope so.
Enjoy your play and your dinner & brunch. When you think about your mom, think about how much better this mothers day is for her than the last one. She's in a much better place now. It's ok to miss her though. I think of my mom every mothers day.
Take care...... kaci
Good to see you. I think about you alot and wonder how your ds in Afghanistan is doing. I hope he's home soon. Have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Boy, lots of questions!!! F-i-l is probably enjoying his alone time. He can watch anything he wants on TV! lol!
Yup, I had to take apart the rock garden on the right because it was infested with grass. I've been trying to weed it for 3 years but the weeds won! So I removed all the perennials and put them in a temporary spot , then dh used "round up" on the grass. I don't usually use chemicals, but It was necessary this time. I'm going to pattern the new rock garden after one I saw at the Phila. Flower show this year.
I just found out the Lilac festival was last Sunday in Lombard but I think the lilacs should be at their peak this weekend if the rain didn't get to them.
Lion King was wonderful!
Thanks for your words about my mom. You're right she is in a much better place and free of pain.

I'm sure your mom is smiling down on you too and getting a kick out of your shenanigans.
Thanks for your kind words. You have a happy mother's day too.
