I spent hours outside on Saturday working on the lawn and gardens. It was so nice being out in the beautiful weather. But then the weather turned sour and we had bad storms and very heavy wind Saturday night and Sunday. Oh well, we really needed the rain and in my area the wind didn't do great damage. Although, there was a tornado sighted about 20 miles from here.
My kids and grandkids were all here for Mothers' DAy, which was wonderful. Seven kids in a house on a rainy day wasn't all I might have hoped for but, we were all together even if we were constantly yelling at them to quiet down.
My girls bought me a mock orange bush. It's something I've been wanting and they realized it when we went shopping at a nearby garden center. Ds#1 and his family got me a really nice little bird bath. (Darby - I think you and I looked at the same ones in the garden store at Little Traveler.) It has a little humming bird on the edge and is so petite. My house is also full of flowers and balloons.
Since we were all together we exchanged names for Christmas. We figured that this way everyone would have long months of listening to the person they need to buy for and fully investigate what they would like. It would also be a good opportunity to do a secret pal sort of thing with each one doing special anomous things for their person between now and Christmas.
It looks like all of you had a good Mothers' Day. That's great. Now we can all get ready for Memorial Day.
I have to go now to let my ds use the internet. ttyl..... kaci
