Hi Ladies, hope you are all well, gosh you are having some high winds & rough weather in some places over there, hope it is not in your area'

I have needed a quiet day today after Mother's Day & it was my 76th Birthday yesterday, that mean't another small celebration, it was all lovely but that will do me fine for another year for sure, the family came over after school, we just had the cake, coffee & coke. Emma (9) proposed a toast with the coke & Amy (11) made a short speech about how she has known me for over 11 years & I am a groovey cool grandmother, it was such good fun, I am a slightly wilted cool grandmother today believe me.

Amy insisted on leaving her school library book for me to read as it is also very cool, I have to have it read by tomorrow afternoon, you will not believe it, it is about a little boys appendix which he had removed & insisted on having it in a jar, the appendix doesn't like being left on it's own, eventually escapes from the jar, I am up to the part where it has swallowed the cat, I sneaked a look at the next page, the dog is next to be swallowed, what ever happened to little pink fairies & elves of our day. The ridiculous part is the book has got me in & of course I wouldn't dare not read it in case I have to answer some questions.

I will have to say bye for now, please take care everyone. HUGS Doreen.

~~H~A~P~P~Y~~B~I~R~T~H~D~A~Y~~to Doreen! Sorry that I am a day late but I wasn't aware that it was your big day. 76 years young and your doing darn good for yourself, and it sounds like those grandchildren know how to keep their grammy groovy! I think the story about the book that Amy left for you to read is precious, and I hope you also tell us the ending to the story also. Yes, I remember reading fairy tales, such as Cinderella! My goodness, my mind has gone blank because I can't seem to remember the other little fairy tales that we used to read.

Well, I have finally gotten on the new computer that DH bought me. It has sat here for 2 weeks and I sort of refused to look at it, and out of desperation I finally turned it on this morning and here I am. Somebody sent me a picture and the old 'puter just wouldn't bring it in, so it was just one click with the mouse on this one and wow, what a nice surprise I had. I have to admit that I don't adapt to change too well and I was just being my old stubborn self because I didn't even want to try this one. But walla-walla, it didn't take much for me to see it's benefits. But, as usual, now I have to learn all about this one................

Hope you have a good day. We are still waiting for things to dry out so that DH can paint the landing and back steps to the house. Rain, rain, rain--will it ever stop? And for how much rain that we have now, we will definitely have a water shortage this summer because that is the way it always ends up. As they say, we can't win for losing!

Have a great day, and enjoy that book. Remember, let me know if the dog got swallowed and what else gets eaten along the way! This sounds very exciting!!! Love and hugs. Bea

Doreen..High praise indeed when our DGC think that we are "Cool". I hope to be cool for a long time to come. I think that books sounds very facinating and now you are making me wonder what eventually happens to that appendix. I do hope that you will tell us the ending.LOL

See you tomorrow evening..Hugs..Becky
