I need a handyman! Now the lights are out in the "Closet from Hell" & I can't get them to go back on. They're fluorescent & I think the bulbs are OK, but it may be those things on the end of the fixture...forgot what they're called. EVERY time I tell DH there's a problem he just tells me to call someone to fix it...but who? I feel so discouraged!

I have Book Club this afternoon. "Gift from the Sea" was our selection for May. I wish I'd read it in 1956 when it was written! For years I thought I was the exception in needing "alone" time. I still need it & take it through out the year with July being a month of it at Lk. MI. Thank goodness DH has come to realize that it benefits both of us. I find I especially appreciate July since my sister & brother are able to care for the needs of our elderly parents during that month & I know they're in good hands. (DS & DB both work for the public schools & have much of summer off.)

Well, I'm off to start my day...not sure what it'll hold yet, but I'd better be dressed & ready for whatever:-) Good day wishes to all! Cal

I've been considering joining a book club at our local library but am wondering if I'll have to read a lot of books I won't enjoy. I guess that's probably NOT the way I should look at it, is it. For some reason I'm having trouble reading right now....I haven't been able to find a book that really intersts me. I've started The Last Girls by Lee Smith but can't seem to get into it. I've also got Anna Quindlan's The Blessings from the library. Have any of you read it?

Smart of you to wonder if you'll have to read a lot of books that you won't enjoy...I certainly have! Often thought of quitting, but like the women in the group, so plod on.

Haven't read either of the books you mentioned. "Out of the Blue" is what I'm reading now...I wouldn't recommend it. I haven't come across anything that I've been excited about in a long time.

Happy book hunting! Let me know if you find anything super. Cal
