Good morning - rainy Friday here -

I've just washed sheets - and have them draped all over the sitting room - hoping they will dry before bed-time! It's a classic English rain today - light and misty - but enough to really soak you if you are out for long. I don't have much shopping that is important - just the paper and the weekly TV magazine. We are invited out for dinner tonight - and tomorrow we are going to be with friends all day - for both lunch and dinner - so not much need to buy food today!

I'm having a bit of a let-down after having a friend here for 5 days. I was really ready for her to go home - tired of constant going - but now I'm at loose ends with nothing to do. I guess it's feast or famine! The "friends" that we will be with tonight and tomorrow are really just DH's co-workers - not really my friends, so I'm not looking forward to it much.

Hope you all wake up to sunshine - and wouldn't it be nice to have one of Lottie's cyber snacks today??? Rosemary

I understand how you are feeling after your friend has left. I alway get that let down feeling too. It must be human nature.

Hope your sheets dry today and that you have a good evening despite not really wanting to go. I am sure it will work out.

I really agree about having one of Lottie's cyber snacke. It has been toooo long..

Hugs and smiles..Becky :-)

Hi, Rosemary! Do you have a laundomat near by or is it just easier to wash & drape at the flat? I remember the days when I'd take the laundry out...always took a book, but I hated every minute of it:-(

May your weekend be as nice as it sounds! (Hope we get a report.) Cal

Actually, my little washer is a combination dryer too - but it is so slow, and wrinkles things so badly, I'd just rather hang them. I have two racks, which work well for clothes, but the sheets are another thing! Much easier to drape, than to carry everything to the laundromat. I'd probably get picked up for being a bag lady! Mindy - you are just about the only person I know who would apologize for walking "only" 1 mile a day! That's terrific! You'll be back to your 5+ miles in no time. Rosemary

Awwww Rosemary, it is such a let down when things change. I know how you feel about wanting your own friends but then it's time to have your own space also. It almost sounds like your getting ready for the return trip to NJ. When will that be? Think happy thoughts today and it may turn out much better than you realize. Hugs. Bea
