Wow - I've never seen a coyote - wouldn't know if I'd even recognize one. I'd think he would have been afraid of you and your DH - you'd better carry a big stick on your walks along the lake! Have a good day - Rosemary

We used to have coyote's in the field next to us in Mt. Pleasant..you could hear the little ones yipping...but I think Iowa has more than its fair share of skunks..we even have a river called The Skunk....lol..Hugs Judi

Oh wow, that must have been a sight to behold. I am glad that we don't have coyotes around here,or if we do I'm not aware of them. We do have racoons that live in the catch basins, or as some refer to them as sewers, and they come out at night and waddle around and scrounge for food. I am so worried about my two little strays that I feed. They don't come to the door as often as my Pretty Boy did, and these two little ones--well, the female looks well fed but the little boy is so scrawny. I put food out the other day for the little boy and he was alone; all of a sudden his little sister came along, saw me and stopped dead in her tracks. She somehow or other knew that I wanted the boy to have the food that particular time because he is skinny. But, I love them all--even DH puts food out occasionally.

Our other place is on a lake, supposedly the biggest recreational lake in MA. Last year we had a muskrat swimming around in the water right near our property, and we all named him Pogo. When Pogo was sighted, the alarm went out to clear the way for Pogo and we all just sat and watched him play inthe water until he moved along. Nature is so interesting, but I wish sometimes it wasn't so much the "cat eat mouse" game. Love, Bea

Mindy:

Poor cat...we have alot of coyotes also...with all the building going on we are driving them out of their territory...they are so used to seeing people around that they are not running the other way.

What a sighting though..
