Good morning ! 5/20

Blessings for each of you. I find joy in knowing that you are there. Great distance separates us, but interest and compassion among members of this this group unites them.
All of us know that when we cannot post that we are being thought of, and prayer is offered for our special needs.
Lottie has had computer problems for a while, and I have been so busy that I have not had opportunity to peck out a note to you. I have read a few posts and-- hallelujah! we who are the fine, mature wines are improving, Mindy walking, Doreen up, Becky out spending, Roselea sharing her travels Darby, Kaci, Bea, Martha, all going and doing, planting, painting something, or waiting for a roofer forever. I haven't kept up with everything for it takes me longer to do things around here than it used to, and my typing is still awful.

There have been changes at my Georgia home. I planted half the front with ivy, for mowing takes me too much time and energy. We have had so much rain that some washed away but I'm sure some will survive. The roof and vents have been replaced, rotten porch posts replaced, with bannisters and hand rails added, and I am still trying to clean out the garage, book cases, closets etc. I need to be ruthless, but find it difficult to discard some things.
I want to go to Richmond and catch up with my dear friends, cut grass clip bushes, etc. The rain will have made everything grow, and I'm wondering if the roof repairs there were successful.
Today, for me, it is my SIL's funeral, so I'd better get busy.
God Loves You,
Avonne

I can't tell you how very happy I am to see you posting this morning. You are so eloquent with your wonderful words and it is comforting to read them. It is nice to know that you were simply busy and not sick. You sound as if you are going to be continuously busy this summer with repairs, traveling and general fun things too.
Please tell Lottie that we miss her terribly too and that we hope that she will soon be back with us. Give her a hug from all of us.
Do take care..Becky
It sounds like your gardening is really coming along great and even up here people plant ivy to cut down on lawn maintenance. You sure have a lot of projects lined up and it sounds like you've been busy getting them done. and now hoping that your roof doesn't leak when the rains get here. We are still waiting! I find it interesting that mentioned that it is difficult to discard things at times; my DH has a terrible time getting rid of something and I really commend him when he does. It sort of has rubbed off on me over the years, but my closet is the worse culprit and I've been tackling that for the past two years. I just went through it once last year and then bought so much this year (those prices, so cheap on sale) that I have recleaned it all over again, bought a new bureau to add to the bedroom set and now things are neater. As I come across something questionable, it gets thrown in a pile in my sewing room, and pretty soon I will have another big bag to donate. DH has been working very hard down cellar and we have all molds and greenware gone at this point---------but aaaaaaaaah, we are still waiting for the roofers!
Enough for now, I've bent your ear. Hope today isn't too hard on you and your loved ones, my prayers are with you. Love and hugs. Bea
