Good (yawn) morning...

Well - Darby - you did beat me this morning. I was here - been reading posts for almost an hour. I was so tired last night that I slept for over 10 hours - should have shared some of that with you! Today I'm just going to be lazy - DH is in Helsinki - and I have nothing that HAS to be done! I agree about the post below - should be reported. Glad you mid-west gals had a good time yesterday - would love to have joined in.

Cal - what a fun thing to do - A&W with a van-full of family! Hope the hockey game was good too. As for my knitting - I'm still working on a complex lacy cardigan, in tan wool - shooting to finish it before we head home.

Bea - I can truly understand your concern over the liver spots - had the same report during my chemo years ago - frightened the wits out of me. (that may explain why I am so dense at times. :o) But - it came to nothing - as I'm sure your's will too. I think these tests sometimes show things that really aren't important - but Dr.s can't ignore them. Keep those positive thoughts coming!!

Betty - I'm thinking of you and your DH - must be so hard dealing with your MIL - after the history that you have had with her. Too bad that she couldn't have been a pleasure all those years - must be a lesson there for all of us.

Doreen - once again, your humor and grace have made a normal occurance into a pleasant time for both of you. My DH and I haven't gotten to the "together" stage yet in Dr. visits - but I hope I can learn from you when the time comes.

Becky - you needed a good night's sleep - sure hope you got one. As for the hearing - my DH is also losing his. I always have to turn the tv down when I come into the room. So by comparison, I feel like I'm in good shape.

Lottie - welcome back! We certainly have missed the snacks, but more importantly, we have missed you!

Judi - I can picture your new curly "do" - and sorry you missed out on the gathering yesterday. Hopefully there will be another chance to meet those Wisconsin gals.

Martha should be coming home soon - sure will be anxious to hear about her trip. She must be having a great time since she hasn't checked in with us.

Well - I'm off to try to accomplish something - getting dressed would be a start! LOL. Have a great day - Rosemary

Rosemary,

It started raining last night just before dinner and I mean it was still pouring when I went to be. It was a big help to me though, because I did sleep like a log last night. I suppose part of it was the soothing sound of rain and then of course as I am every night I was very tired.

Hope you will enjoy your "me" day. I am just about ready for a day like that myself. Hmmmmm. I wonder what a do nothing day would be like?..LOL

As I mentioned in my post to Darby, I have reported the post and now it is up to the powers that be to remove it.

I am off to check posts and see what I have missed..Have a good one..Hugs..Becky

I'm glad that your having a "do nothing" day for yourself and it sounds like that afghan is going to be a beautiful keepsake and remembrance of your time in the UK! Your catch up posts are wonderful and wish I had the memory to do such a good job, but at the moment I'm just trying to keep my head on straight. Hoping age will improve me instead of making me worse, but I want to thank you for the wonderful support and great words you have posted about my present upset with this situation I heard from the dr. I intend to call the PC today, but being a holiday weekend here and very possibly the report hasn't reached him yet anyway, I know that I am going to have to wait. I'm sure you know what it's like to sit on those pins and needles, and ouch, it hurts at times.

Have a great day. It's raining today, and would you believe it, I had to turn the heat back up this morning to take the chill off the house. When, oh when, will our good weather get here? Thank you again for your wonderful post. Hugs. Bea

Rosemary, are you making the cardigan for yourself? Sounds "dressy"...with what will it be worn? Nosey me!

Enjoy your alone time! Cal

Yes, Cal, the cardigan is for me. I've made the pattern once before - and like the sweater a lot. I'll put either wood or horn buttons on it - so it will be sporty - will go with black, denim, or tweed. I've given up knitting for DH - he's too fussy about the fit - won't wear it if it isn't just perfect! So - he doesn't get any more sweaters! LOL.And Dylan gets the next sweater. Rosemary
