Good morning - Saturday

Sat, 05-24-2003 - 4:44am
I'm moving slowly again - having my coffee and planning my day. There's a large lawn area next to our apartment block - belongs to a college - and there's a huge tent there this morning. They are testing the loud speakers - so I presume there's going to be a party there - or a wedding. I may have music all day. Maybe I can crash it! I have a little shopping to do - but nothing too exciting. If the weather clears up a bit I'll try to get out on my bike and get some exercise.

Mindy - haven't heard you talking much about cooking - are you back to doing all of it? Or is your DH still enjoying it? What's cooking today?

Okay - I'm off to the shops. Have a great day - Rosemary

Have a good day and let us know how the party next door is progressing..

Hey Rosemary, if it's a party or a wedding you can probably go to it and nobody would even notice the extra head--who counts heads at things like this! wink, wink. Anyway, have a good day!

Could I ask a question? You mentioned that you had the liver spots also, how did they proceed after discovering them? Another test????? Just curious. Bea

Well - the party turned out to be graduation - just a lot of applause and some cheering at times. No music! :o( DH is still away - gets home mid-day tomorrow, so I have another evening on my own. I've played tag with the weather today - put on my usual slacks and sweatshirt this morning to walk to the shops - it was sunny and hot! I came home sweltering - so I showered and put on shorts and sleeveless top - thinking I'd get out for a bike ride and soak up some sun! Alas - before I could get going it had clouded up and I was freezing! So - I've just stayed in. Hope you had a bette day than I did. Rosemary

Bea - I really can't remember too well, what they did, but I think I had another scan, of some type. The spots were discovered during a regulat CT scan - and then with a more specific liver scan they showed up to be nothing. Still - two weeks of worry! My oncologist was a very harsh, uncaring person - and had already told me I wouldn't survive the breast cancer - it was so advanced! Great PR! So, when the spots showed up, it was like - I told you so! But I showed her in the end - I'm still around, and the HMO she was working for folded, and who knows where she is! Think positive!!! Rosemary, I'm glad you beat the breast cancer and proved that dr. wrong. Some dr.s certainly don't have much of a bedside manner. I will be picking up copies of my catscan the beginning of the week and hand delivering them to my PC here in my own city, he will review them to see what he can see, and he also suggested that I follow up with another catscan in a few months time. Now, the endo that discovered this through his tests thought nothing of it and said it was of no consequence and not to worry; he is concerned with the thyroid so of course the liver means nothing to him. How each doctor is so different, but I feel it is worth checking out--especially where I am now chomping at the bit. Thank you for letting me know about your experience, you have given me a lot of hope. Hugs. Bea
