Happy Memorial Day

I haven't been around too much lately. Been busy outside. Our weather has been absolutely perfect, a little cool, but great for gardening.Been planting annuals and veggies and edging the gardens. I got a new edging tool and it's so sharp (literally and figuratively!LOL!)Today dh and I will start assembling the new rock garden. He got even more rocks from the WI rock pile when he went up to give our puter to Velma. We also want to MAKE time to go for a bike ride. He's been out twice this year but I haven't at all. It should be a beautiful day for it.

Also we need to take some time to dwell on what this holiday is all about. Seems even more important this year when servicemen and women are still risking their lives in Iraq.

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Hugs, Darby

Sounds like your gardening is coming along well. Hope you get that bike ride in, sounds like fun. We went through a spell of riding every morning, but that was quite a few years ago now, and I often think about those bikes hanging from the rafters down cellar. I honestly don't think I'll ever use mine again, DH aches so much and I know I wouldn't go alone. I've even forgotten how to shift the darn thing!

Yes, this holiday is a day of remembrance and we should all be thankful for the freedoms that we have. Hugs. Bea

Never did get to our bike ride Bea. We're both pooped. We got a lot of preliminary work done on the rock garden (the hard stuff), shredded leaves and twigs for the compost pile, set up the fountain etc. etc. etc.

Oh well the bikes will be there later.

Hey, I'll come out and ride bikes with ya!

LOL Mindy. Yup you put a pebble in the ground, fertilize it, water it and voila! You get a rock garden!

You' and Mr. Dick will have to drive on down when it's all done.

Hugs, Darby

What a perfect day weather wise eh?
