Comfort it must be to your MIL when you bath her, I know it is a sad business, I used to cry silently when I was showering my Dad all those years, he was always a proud very tall straight looking man & of course that slowly changed, he used to say to me "look how thin I am going Doreen" & of course I would tell him he looked fine, we have a wonderful memory of him a few days before he left us, it was GS Ben's Birthday & we had to have it in his room here at home, he just loved birthdays but near the end got a little confused whose birthday it was, I will never forget little Ben coming to me very quietly to tell me that Poppee was opening all of his presents & also wanted to fan the candles out on Ben's cake, I thought Ben was wonderful he acted with such dignity & do you know he has never forgotten it.

Doreen - what a lovely memory to have of both your father, and your DGS on his birthday. It seems your grandchildren are blessed with such an understanding of people and family - you must just glow with pride and love for them. Enjoy that steak - we don't have it often either - but I do love it. Rosemary

What a wonderful, wonderful memory of that birthday party, and even more so how wonderful that little Ben was so good about it. That memory has added much compassion to his life and it's wonderful that he is able to share and talk about his Poppee! Bea

Doreen thats so nice, I think that men are more appreciative

than women when you do something so personal as bathing them.

My FIL was that way. Vern's mom is very negative about all

things. That is a very good memory that you have. Betty hugs.
