sweet perfume of lilacs fill the air

and apple blossoms smell adorn,

its a springtime marinade of sorts

delicious,as i walk along!!

childrens laughter follows me,as

sweet green grass does freshly lay,

familes under tall pine trees

picnic on this bounteous day!!

the sun in briliance shines above

casting diamonds at waters fall,

trees dressed in new green garb

springtime bounty set for all!!

just take a walk, along the lake

see the seagulls soaring high,

ducks and geese float down below

a kings buffet for you and i!

smells, sites and sounds of spring arise

colors marvel to the naked eye,

beckon those who dare to see

beyond the gray and darkened sky!!

good morning more beautiful days to share,a walk yesterday proved to be filled with the perfume of spring.it is glorious here!!i wrote this for a friend on the poetry board who was having a gray and ran filled weekend!!hope you gals enjoy your day!!(((hugs)))mindy

Absolutely beautiful! You have a great talent. Have you thought of putting these in print and possibly having a publication of your odes? Bea
