Feel free to skip this...it's a gripe session!!!

DH and I had picked out a stove and refrigerator model that would fit into the spaces in the mobile home. We were going to buy them from the Lowe's over there. DH had to make a 70 mile round trip. He found that Lowe's didn't have the same model of 'fridge. So.....we'll have to wait until they can get that model.

Our trip to AL turned out to be a disaster! We hadn't lost any trees, nor was the place blown away; but, the whole trip was one big work day. When we were there the last time, the socket in which the microwave was plugged didn't work. The light in the back bedroom would blink and the light in the kitchen would as well. DH went with the thought in mind that a circuit breaker needed replacing. He had bought a new one, and it didn't fit into the slot as it should have. Well, there was one of the circuit breakers that wasn't in use, so he changed that around. The two fixtures still would blink; I suggested that maybe they were worn out. Sure enough, when it took them loose, they both had frayed wires. OK! That problem solved! Need two new fixtures. I hadn't turned on the hot water heater, neither had he. We always wait to make certain that the water has gotten into the heater before we turn it on. Well, I flipped the switch and fire jumped out at me! He decided that maybe the bus box needs replacing. That means that we must find an electrician to replace the breaker box. That won't be easy, but it will be necessary.

I thought that everything would go along OK as we left for home. My cell 'phone needed a charge, and I thought that I would charge it as we rode along in the van. I've done this before, and had no problem. I plugged the charger on the 'phone and then into the cigarette lighter; the radio stopped playing! The charger had done something! I took it out of the lighter space and a portion stayed! Oh joy! My charger killed the radio.

Thanks for listening! Let's have a break...blackberry shortcake with whipped cream. Your favorite beverages. lottie77

Oops - so sorry about your trailer problems. I've always heard that trouble comes in "3's", but in your case I think it must be in "10's"! Take a deep breath - have a drink, and things will fall into perspective! Hope you are relaxing tonight. Rosemary

Oh, Lottie, what a day! Makes mine look like a day in the park. I was feeling sorry for myself, because I took a huge hunk out of my finger doing something that DH should have done! Your post sure took my mind off "me". It's a lot of work having 2 places to maintain when things go right let alone when they don't! Hope to hear that everything is fixed & fine soon.

I've never had blackberry shortcake, but haven't met a treat I didn't like:o) Sounds delicious. Cal

(((LOTTIE))) I hear ya'! I wouldn't skip a message just because you tell me it's a gripe--I know where your coming from, and it's not easy keeping two places going. Just when you should have had a good day checking it all out, getting it ready, and possibly enjoy a few joyful hours in anticipation of the upcoming time you'll be spending there, and whammo------------- Yikes. Sure hope you like the new stove and fridge when you finally do get them. I know you would be lost without those kitchen appliances, but there are days that I feel I could do without a kitchen..........period. DH sure hopes I get over that phase f-a-s-t!

Hope everything else is back into working order. When will you be going back and do you stay there for the summer? We are still waiting for the roofer, and am wondering if we will ever get to the lake at this rate. Ahhhhhhh well, as they say, better days are coming. Chin up, my friend, I'm a'gonna pass on the cake, but will have a nice glass of water! Hugs. Bea
