I don't know what happened..............

but, today is starting out good. We got a call last night and the roofers wanted to know if they could do our job today? Yes, yes, of course yes! I am so excited. They just got here. We thought we would be waiting until the middle of the summer. DH just ran in to get the estimate because it's not the price he's checking but it's the work they described they would be doing that he wants to make sure they follow through with. I almost feel a nervous attack coming on, but no Bea, just hang in there. I already took my Klonopin this morning...............

I delivered my x-rays to the dr.s office yesterday, and have to call his office Monday morning to remind the secretary to remind the dr. to take them to the hospital with him so that he can check it out with another radiologist. My stomach is just doing flip flops thinking about this.

And, guess what? I want to thank all of you for the input on the deep fryer. At least I know it isn't just me that feels that way about them. Yesterday DH decided that we should really check out the lake, so when we got in the car I noticed the deep fryer was in the back seat. I had to run in the house to get the sales slip for it--he said he was returning it. I didn't say a word but added "don't you want to check the fish markets in New Bedford" (supposedly the fishing capitol of the world). Uh, no, he didn't. He said he knew that I didn't like the idea (oh gosh, I guess it was very obvious that I hated even the thoughts of this thing) and it was getting returned. So, it got returned, and then we had a very silent ride to the lake, very quiet the whole time we were there, and finally I said some stupid thing about a new building being built somewhere and things eased off a little. Oh God, I will never understand why MEN have to be MEN! Sometimes they seem to want to do the darndest things, and other times they are so great.

Anyway, all over the news last night and this morning how MA wants to go totally nonsmoking the whole state. Now, if this does take place, DH can enjoy a clam plate in practically any restaurant of his choosing. I can wait for this to happen, I'm not a lover of all those fried foods either. So, I guess that's why they say "Men will be men, and women will be women"!

Love and hugs to all. Bea

Sorry you have to wait so long for results, but that seems to be the name of the game today.Enjoy the day.Worry won't make it change one way or the other.

Yup, men are different.Very happy he took the fryer back.Frying, no matter how good it tastes is not good for us.This way he'll eat the fried only when out.Good!

Also good news on the roof!Like to hear all that.martha

Sorry you're having to wait so long to hear what the Drs. have to say about your tests. That's horrible having anticipate what they might have to say!

It's good that your DH had a change of heart about the fryer. Did he read our posts over your shoulder? LOL

New roof coming!!! That's great! lottie77

Lottie, I'm was wondering also if he read some of the deep fryer posting over my shoulder. I didn't say much against it, but he sure knew that I wasn't for it. Anyway, it was his decision to return it, and I certainly didn't object to that. He likes to buy things that "we" will enjoy, and after buying it and he mentioned "we" will enjoy it, I told him I wanted nothing to do with this, it's his toy--he can prepare, cook, pour the grease out, clean it, etc. Do you think that had something to do with it. LOL! Bea

Well, it all turned out quite well. I didn't say anything negative to him about it, but the next day when we were going out he had put the fryer in the car and he returned it. I'm not sure if discovering that a quart of clams (with the bellies) go for $89.00 had anything to do with it! Bea
