Velma and Darby - what a horrible thing for your grandson/nephew to go through. You didn't say if he was badly hurt - but glad to know he'll be okay. It's almost a rite of passage these days with teen-agers - such a dangerous time. We forget with all the fear of SARS, terrorists, etc. that getting in a car is the most dangerous thing we do! Prayer and good thoughts to you and your family.
Cal - thanks for the tip on the book - will look for it. As for eating bon bons, I much prefer nachos or popcorn in my decadence.!
Becky - am anxious for you to return to us - want to hear all about your time atDisney. You and Martha are keeping that place busy. Too bad you didn't over-lap.
Lottie - your pizza-making makes me anxious to get home so I can make some too. We had pizza the other night made with Ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese, with fresh spinach, and it was delicious. I want to try that cheese mixture. I make my crust in the bread maker- using whole wheat flour and olive oil - takes away some of the guilt!! LOL.
Now - Lottie and Cal - you have mentioned paper over-load, and I have a system that works for us. I have a journal that I record all the checks I write in - and I put all bills that come in the journal until they are paid. After paying them, they go in an accordian folder - one slot for each month - so everything is all together. Also - any statements, notices, etc. all go in the same folder, so during the year we can look back and find anything based on when it came. At the end of the year we consolidate things - toss the monthly statements once the year-end one has come, etc., and tie it up into one bundle for the year. We dispose of things in the fireplace after they are outdated. It avoids any clutter - and I seem to keep up with things!
Well - I'm fresh out of wisdom - such as it is! Have a great day - I'm off to watch the Queen! Rosemary
