We have been busy, but things are finally falling into place. The roof is done! Yipee! It rained for 2 days on and off after that, and all seems well. It has a 10 year guarantee with it, so if any problems we will call him back. Anyway, it involved a little more work than originally thought, so that left us with $700 more added on to the bill. But, well worth it as far as I'm concerned. Have been taking all the "buckets" out of there and trying to do a little clean up. Hope to tackle that room when we come back from the lake after the summer.
So, the roof is done, the water pipes have been rodded (still no water meter installed yet though), the keys have been made, the car has been fixed (tough steering for awhile there), I've had my testing done and it seems that all is well. DH doctor visits are done and he goes for compression glove fitting tomorrow, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed because the first two were made wrong and sent back.
We are hoping to go to the lake this afternoon and get the rug and the screens up on the deck. Once that is done, we will come home and get Sammi' cat and probably go down for the summer! Meaning home tonight, gone tomorrow! Lots of little things to do down there, and we are really behind schedule this year. Went to an open house this past Sunday and then out to dinner with friends--they found a nonsmoking restaurant that they were raving about right near the Cape Cod Canal, so we gave it a try. Food was excellent and yep, it was all nonsmoking. As a matter of fact, the waitress told us that all of the Cape was nonsmoking, so maybe we'll get adventursome during the summer and give some diferent places a try.
A good day to all, sorry I'm so far behind. I'm getting anxious to get the show on the road though and get to the lake. It's too nice to be hanging around here in the city--especially now since the roof has been fixed!
Hugs to all. Bea
