I'm waiting for laundry to dry - then have a pile of ironing to do - then packing will begin! At 3:00 I'm getting my haircut - another "fancy do" with Hugh! What a riot!! We have a cab coming for us at 5:45 tomorrow morning - off on our trip! Now - some comments on posts....
Becky - safe travels to KY. What a chance to have all those generations together in a group - enjoy.
Judi - so glad you got a good report from your surgeon. And you go every month???I would have a hard time doing that - too often! Also - you had posted last week, about being in Columbia, MO. DH and I lived there for 4 years when he was in grad school - and our home town is Moberly, just 35 miles to the north of Columbia. You were in my turf!! We will be back there in October - visiting DH's father - our only surviving parent.
Mindy - thumbs up on your exercise prescription! I'm so glad you are healing so well - and your conditioning is responsible for it. I've fallen off my regular "vigorous" execising while I've been here - just living takes a lot of normal exercise. But I miss the heart-thumping part of running or working out. Will get back to it at home.
Cal - also agree about all the graduations. It seems we are so eager to "help" our kids enjoy grown-up things - should just let them be little kids for as long as possible. I'm also a very nervous rider - never sleep in the car, and prefer to drive, if I can. Last week-end when we were driving with DD and family, I was in the back seat, between DGS in his car seat, and DH - both were sleeping - and I had a grand time chatting with DD and DSIL as we drove. Also - I'm always afraid I'll miss something!
Kaci - you too got wonderful results on all your tests. Congrats! And so glad you had a good visit with your father - those are the ones to remember, and put the bad ones out of your mind.
Bea - am I the only one here who doesn't know what a Baker's rack is? I thought I knew, until you mentioned putting it in your bedroom??? Hope you get to the lake today - and have a stretch of good weather.
As I read about all of you having such a good time in WalMart - I think I must be a really odd ball. Never go there - boycott the store on general principles! Also - I don't like shopping - of course I've been doing it daily here, but that's because of the way I'm forced to buy food. It just seems that I buy so little, other than food - don't ever need anything from a WalMart type of store. Oh well - different strokes for different folks! Have a great day - I'll check in tonight to see how you're doing. Rosemary

Yikes, how did I get going on this? As far as a Bakers Rack, most people don't have them in their bedroom, it's just a bunch of open shelves that are mostly for display and I would imagine that most people would put them in a den/family room or dining/kitchen area. I have one in my kitchen here at home and I just love it. WalMart around here is so popular, and can outprice any of the other local stores and if you know your quality and prices you can do very well there. If not, a person then must go to the Malls and get the same merchandise and not even be aware that they are paying double or even triple for the same thing. I used to work in a garment factory years and years ago, and out of 100 identical items, we would put different labels on them. For instance, 20 would go to Saks 5th Ave for $100 each, 20 would go to Filene's for $80 each, 20 would go to Sears for $60 each, etc, etc. etc. Finally in your discount store there would be the same item for $19.95!
Well, on with my day. The sun is out. Don't know if I'll get back to the board tonight or not, usually I'm not on at night, but thinking we might be settling in at the lake so who knows how things will go. Have a good day! Bea
i do have a bike also and luckily i live so close to the lake that we do have a bike path 2 blocks up the road, but as for taking it shopping,i did years ago, with kids in tow on the back seat, but alas the traffic and congestion are too terrible now to try that!!have a safe and wonderful trip, take some mental pictures so you can tell us all about it.see you when!!??(((hugs)))mindy
