Hi Friends, I will try & send a few words tonight, still feeling somewhat off balance but I have felt it may be a little better today, should be able to see Dr. in the next couple of days, just hope she can suggest something to stop it coming back again.

Mindy what an interesting post today, isn't it wonderful how much pleasure we can get from the simple things of life especially when you are with your best friend, my DH did the washing today also, I am so grateful. It sounds such a pretty area you were in & really cute names, I used to love going to flea markets also especially to look at the plants, sorry to say I am not able to make it now but not to worry I always find something else to do, this last week it has had to be crosswords.

Martha you sound as if you had a beaut. trip to Disney & tomorrow I will look at your photos, it is a little late tonight, I am interested you were cooking a small turkey, ours are always so big, I use the turkey breast roll these days, it is easier for me to cook & serve I find.

We have had a holiday weekend here, today was for the Queen's Birthday, it seems a little strange we are still celebrating that here somehow, of course the Birthday Honours are announced today also.

I will say goodnight hope you all have a happy day. HUGS Doreen.

I am so sorry you have not been feeling up to par. Glad you're here now.

We have some small turkeys in the market--9lbs.I roast it plain and we eat a couple of days, clean the carcess and freeze the rest of the meat. The bones of course make great soup.I find I enjoy the soup more and more.

You are so right, we do what we can.I find as the years go by, things do change and excepting what we can't change is best.I just pray that you don't have to live with pain.martha

DH and I both enjoy turkey. He is always very willing to smoke them on our barbecue grill. We had a foreign exchange student who visited us once; she was from Denmark and had thought that we only had turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas. This happened to be the summertime and DH had just smoked one the day before (the dinner invitation was spur of the moment). I confess I did go out of my way a little bit, when I found that her host family had been trying to cook what she would eat at home. She was unfamiliar with gravy, and of course, fried green tomatoes and okra. It was fun to see her enjoy the food we eat quite often. By-the-way, I thought everyone in the world ate gravy! lottie77

Hi Doreen,

I was sorry to read that you have been feeling a bit puny again. I think that you are a wise woman to know what your limitations are and that you don't whine about what you can't do and continue on with what you can manage.

I feel that I am learning so much from you and not just about your country, but how you cope with your pain and how you are so good at carrying on with your life, even when things get you down. I will keep you in my prayers daily. I am ever so grateful for the day you joined us here on this board. You are a good friend to us.

Hugs..Becky
