Well, I did it again

Anyway, back again, now am rushed as I haven't taken my morning shower yet and I promised DH that I would take him out to dinner today for his Father's Day dinner. Lazy Bea, but he loves fried clams so much and there is a little place we discovered right by our canal that we both enjoy so much, so that is on the agenda for today, whether it be lunch or dinner it doesn't matter.
I don't know what got into me yesterday, but I bought an extra deep electric Dutch Skillet! Now, DH and I are talking about the first great meal that I could cook in it, and up comes the spaghetti sauce. "Gravy" to some of you gals. Now, my comment was "I wonder how many jars of spaghetti sauce I will have to use to fill this skillet"! Oh boy, am I a great home cook or not?
As for the cranberry sauce Martha, I think you asked how I made it. I take a casserole dish that will go in the microwave, put in 4 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar (after you try this you can adjust it accordingly), and I put the cover on and cook on high for 10 minutes. Then I put in 4 cups of fresh cranberries, cover, and cook another 10 minutes on high. This is what I use over the ice cream, can also drink the juice alone, or if you want cranberries with your meal just use a slotted spoon to scoop them out. I usually catch the berries with this timing just before they pop open, so they are still whole but cooked. This is how my boys always liked them.
Well, whatever else I had in the first post is lost forever--I'm tired of making mistakes and having to repeat myself and half the time I forget what I said anyway. I do know that I mentioned that if katydids have such a short life span of only about a day, why do they want to spend that day stuck to my screens on my deck? I should think they could find something better to do. DH is just "sweeping", yes, actually sweeping with a broom, the screens right now because there is so much pollen on them. The water along the shore is all green also--not too inviting for swimming yet.
And on with my day. If I lose this, you will hear a long, loud scream from New England. Hugs to all and have a good day. Bea
