My great-aunt & grandmother, who cared for me during the day while my parents worked (until I was 5 & in school). They were from the "old country" & all I heard was "eat, eat" & "there are children starving in Europe". Cal
Wow! Good question and it just made me realize why I am probably the way I am about food. My grandmother I would say shaped my attitude towards food. I was brought up by my grandparents, and she always hated preparing foods and even the thoughts of preparing it. I notice I am just about the same way today. I would be perfectly content to just go in the fridge and pick out something in my hands, nibble it down and be done for another couple of hours. But, alas, DH is always so hungry. I do enjoy the fact that he can go out to a few restuaruants now, and once a week a good meal satisfies me. Bea
P. S. DH keeps trying though, he just bought me a set of pots and pans---aaaaaarrrrrgggh.
