I have just taken out of the kitchen cabinets the entire set of Hallite Wearever pots and pans with the copper covers. These are the first set of pots and pans that I bought when first married. They are aluminum, and have since changed over to stainless steel Farberware. What got me cleaning the cabinet out was the new set of pots and pans DH bought me, and when he saw the "stash" that I had, he decided to return the new ones. Yipee!!! Anyway, didn't they come out with that it is not healthy to cook with aluminum quite a few years ago. Anyway, have put them in the trunk of the car, which will then end up in a box in the corner of the cellar at home. I am ready to toss them, but would like to find out if they are "antiques" yet. LOL! Bea

I have a terrible memory, but as you mentioned it I think something was said about aluminum pan cooking. I really think that had to do with cooking acidic foods in them.

I know when I make pickles it always says to use a glass or stainless pot to cook the vinegar and seasoning in.

I'll bet they have value as collector items, but I don't think most people would use them. I had read that Alzeimer patients have too much aluminum in their systems and that's why we shouldn't cook with aluminum pans, just in case there was a connection. No aluminum for me; my memory needs all the help it can get! LOL!
