I think I must be sick - I just passed up DH's insistence on playing tennis this morning! That's something I never do - but I have things to get done before the kids get here. I'm making sloppy joes, potato salad, and need to get the beds ready, etc. Don't like to be doing all that after everyone gets here. It's going to be warm and sunny all week-end - a real treat for us.

Yesterday was my farewell to Oxford - I walked into town - had a nice lunch at one of my favorite places, then shopped for gifts for friends, etc. Also - DH sold my bike - that awful old piece of junk - but I really enjoyed the freedom it gave me. I am determined to ride my bike at home more when I get there. I do really like being in Oxford - especially when the weather is gorgeous - but it's not home!! And I am so anxious to get back into my routine there.

Sounds like Yahoo has lots of treats in store for me to see when I get home too. I might be able to post a few - but the last time I tried scanning anything, I wasn't successful. I'm not a photographer - but DH has about a zillion rolls of film to take home. Actually - in our travels - I get annoyed with all the camera and video hounds. It's just one big photo op - sometimes I wonder if they are really "seeing" what they are photographing. Some of the beautiful sights - like The Little Mermaid - in Copenhagen - were so overcrowded with people wanting their picture taken in front of her - you couldn't even see her! GGrrrrr!! I like pictures of family, and as a record of events.

Well - I need to get busy - and I hope you all have a great week-end ahead of you. Have I missed something about Lottie and Elder Sis? Haven't seen their posts. Also - Diana - but she's always so busy. I saw Jackie is moving - where? Gradually I'll get caught up. Rosemary

PS - Cal - hoping your DH is just going through a cold, but I know it's worrying. I've had a cough for 8 months now - must get it checked when I get home.....

Good morning. It really isn't like you to turn down a game of tennis, but I totally understand. I too like to get everything done ahead of time when company or family is coming for a visit. I love sloppy joes and just never fix them for us. About the only time I get them is if I go to DD Amy's house.

I bet you will miss Oxford, but I would also be so anxious to get home to my real life. Enjoy what is left of your stay and the kids.

Do please get that cough checked out when you get home.

Hugs..Becky

We have so enjoyed your travels but will be happy to have you home.I'm a bit of a picture nut but not as bad as you can see out there.Actually I collect postcards of where I've been--they take better pictures.

Enjoy the family-martha

I'm here today! We've been in AL for a couple of days and Eldersis has been busy with her house. She had to have a new roof and some other work done.

I totally agree with you about the shutterbugs; I quit taking pictures of places, because I found that I didn't really see them. Now, I do like Martha suggests and buy picture postcards. They are always perfectly lighted and don't come out with pictures of my finger over a portion of the print! LOL

Do take care of your cough as soon as possible. Maybe it's only an allergy to something in your flat, but still 8 months is too long to cough! lottie77
