I never got around to posting on my own yesterday, although I did read your writings and made a few comments here and there.

The delivery of our appliances in Alabama is a nightmare! We had planned everything to go smoothly, and it has been anything but. We've been over there twice now, (once in a driving downpour) and still don't have what we've ordered. I spent yesterday composing a letter to the company that sold the merchandise to us. The story is so long and involved, I was trying to keep it down to one page; I know that if it is longer than that, it won't get as much attention. For what it is worth, we're supposed to go over there again tomorrow; they insist they will get the delivery right finally.

Speaking of the driving downpour, when we got near the Chattahoochee River the water was up to the bottom of all of the bridges. As we crossed the river bridge, the water was swirling in torrents and the ball field where the children play little league baseball was several feet under. We are now enjoying the same cold front that Becky has. We had a record low of 57 degrees yesterday, and I think our temperature today will also be an all time low. It isn't quite light enough for me to read the thermometer on the back porch yet.

I'd better put out our cyberbreak; I'm getting hungry and the coffee should be ready.

We haven't had any gooey bearclaws in a while, so let's have some today. Judy's 7 Up is in the back of the 'fridge (gee, another non-Coca Cola product...how am I going to get her to add to my retirement fund?). Anyway, there's whatever you would like in my magic refrigerator. lottie77

Hi this early morning..It is a cool 60* right now and all the windows are open here. It is heavenly. High today of 88* so guess that isn't exacly cool, but it beats the 90's.All the rivers are above flood stage here too. I just hope the rain holds off for a little longer.

Bear claws, hmmmm, do you suppose someone will share one with me? I will have a cup of that coffee too, it smells so good.

Hope you have a good day and that you can put those durn appliances out of your mind at least for this lovely Sunday and come tomorrow that things will get worked out once and for all.

Good Luck..Becky

Mindy, if there 'was' some other place to go for the appliances, I believe we would. Our place in AL is still 'back in the woods'. It takes about 20 minutes to go down the dirt road on a sunny day. The little town isn't much more than the Confederate Memorial and a small courthouse; we had to go to a larger town to buy the appliances. lottie77

P.S. On a rainy day, that road becomes so slick you wouldn't believe it. When we were there on Thursday, one of the neighbor's fine new Lincoln had slid into the ditch.

Lottie, I would be so livid if I had that delivery problem facing me; I don't know how you stay so calm--well, it sounds like your calm anyway. It's too bad that you don't have a larger selection of stores so as to cancel this order and go elsewhere. We're still having the rains, and our rivers and ponds/lakes are all up high also. We have such a high population here though that we will end up with a water shortage before the summer is half way through. I just had to turn the heat on to get the chill off, and I am wrapping my hands around that cup of coffee the minute they come off the keyboard.

We have the graduation party to go to--and I know it will all be indoors because of the weather. Now, I can't wear what I planned on wearing because I'll freeze to death, have only one jacket here that I can wear because I have mostly "play" clothes here, so have to start rummaging through the closet. The stomach is acting up a bit also--darn--is this going to be a "forever" problem. Sometimes I get so upset with myself.

Well, have a good day, hope your letter gets some attention. They should give you a discount for all your aggravation. Hugs. Bea

Golly Lottie, that is just too much. If the maker of your appliance is on line, I would write to them too. Go above the stores head.

Feast or famine with the rain.Parts of Fl are having flood problems. We are just getting afternoon storms. This is one crazy weather year. martha

Martha's suggestion to write the manufacturer is a good one...they'd be very interested in how they're being represented by the retail store that handles their products. Good luck!

We must have the good weather at the moment. I couldn't ask for a nicer weekend & I'm so glad, because DS took his children camping! If memory serves me right it's miserable to tent camp in the rain...especially with children.

Hope things improve weather & appliance-wise! Hang in there. Cal

P.S. Bearclaws...YUM!
