Did nothing today. Really--no clay, no watercolor, no cleaning--you know what?I had a really nice homey day.We had about an hour of really heavy rain. The thing is even with the rain we sit outside, under cover, with a nice glass of ice tea and talk.

Now-I've been married to the same man for 54 years. Only took one vacation without him in all that time, and that was to visit my dd.Now I'm in the process of taking a trip with my dd in Nov.It will be an exciting one.Fill you in if all gets firmed. How many of you go without your dh? He is staying home by choice. It's hard to jump up and down with joy when leaving him.

See you all in the morning--martha

Martha, I take vacations with & without my DH, because he doesn't like to travel out of MI, still works & doesn't want to take his vacation time all at once. The month long one I take in July is to regain my sanity, restore my soul & prepare to care for my parents for another 11 months...LOL! I would do & do do almost anything they ask & more, so it really wears me out. Saturday I scrubbed my grandfather's tomb stone at my Mom's request...he died 100 years ago & it was filthy. I have to admit that probably was the most unusual thing she has ask of me!

Oh, one of the best parts of taking a vacation without DH is missing him & looking forward to seeing him when I return;-)

Pleasant day wishes to you! Cal

Yea--you need it with all the care giving.I don't feel bad about this--it's his choice and I'm thrilled with the trip. When it gets firmed I'll share.martha
