About Sunday--the 22nd

We went to the graduation party and had a great time! The young graduate has plans on going on to college and hoping to get into the psychiatry field; we all wished her luck. Her eyes bugged out at all the money gifts, and then everybody reminded her of the "rule" about if you go to college you live rent free if your near home, but if you drop out and go to work, yep, you guessed it--you just entered the real world and you start paying for room and board just like everybody else. A little frown on her forehead-----hmmm.

We went home to check the house, and while there got a phone call from a friend down the street. Her grandchildren were there and we hadn't seen them in a long time, so we did stop by at her invite. Well, the children are adorable, but the gist of this story is about my friend. She went to visit her daughter, who is wheel chair ridden, and was at her summer trailer with built on deck that hangs over the water. Well, there was some wood that had rotted, my friend happened to step on the bad piece of wood and her foot went through it, she lost her balance and fell backwards into the water. But, leg still caught in the broken wood, her head now under water and she is flailing about. Of course, they ended up rescuing her, but she was fighting for breath, and they had an awful time getting her back up on her feet again. Her DH and another friend were there and everybody agreed that it was better she found the rotten piece of wood instead of her daughter in the wheelchair. My gosh--my friends leg is all black and blue and all swollen up. Her diamond hit the dock somehow so that came out of the setting, she had the cell phone in her pocket and that got soaked and ruined.

Well, now we can call laugh about it--everybody's final comment was that if you fall into the water and your head is underwater and you feel trapped and like you are drowning--"DON'T PANIC"! I know this isn't funny, but thank the Lord she is safe.

Phew, enough about all this. This poor girl has gone to psychiatrists for about 5 years and I'm sure her therapist isn't going to believe all this--but she is there in living black and blue proof!

A good day to all. Hugs. Bea
