I have an appt. for blood work at 9:15 - which is later than I like, but that is the only time I could get. Since I'm still waking up early - I really need some breakfast!! I'm doing laundry, and paying bills - then after the Dr. I'm going to Costco to stock up on food for the 3 weeks at the shore. We are having less company this year - DD and family of course won't be coming - so I don't have to get so much, but still, I'd rather shop here and take it with me, than have to run to the store while I'm there. This afternoon I will go back to the Dr. for an appt. to have my cough checked. Sure hope I can get a quick fix - it's driving me crazy, and I'm getting worried about it. So - after months of not going near a Dr., I'm going twice in one day! AAGGGHHHH!

We looked yesterday for a new table for our patio - what ever happened to just plain, nice, wooden tables?? These patio shops have enormous things, all glass, fancy, huge chairs, and with price tags to match. I think I'll have to go to IKEA - or repair and paint our old one.!

I hope Becky gets back with us today - and hope all of you have a great day. Rosemary

Hope both your dr. visits go well. Is your lab work for cholesterol? I only ask because it's the only test that I have to fast for and I always feel the same way--try to get there early in the a.m. if possible. Lucky you going to the shore--assuming your talking about the Jersey Shore. There are some nice places there, we used to visit as we would go down the intracoastal waterway or even by car on some trips. Some places reminded me of our Cape Cod.

We have just heard from some of our family, and now we are trying to get in touch with the other half hoping for a family get-together in August. But, we aren't having as much company this year as far as family goes, but we sure have a lot of friends coming by. It's fun to catch up with everyone though. Good luck with your shopping. Hugs. Bea

P.S. You'll probably do far better in the fall getting a patio set; ours is the glass top but the chairs aren't those great big humongous things, they were sort of a left over because the chairs weren't the real fancy ones. I can't remember what we paid but got it for "a song" so to speak because of the late season--I can stack the chairs when not in use which makes it nice for us and a spacesaver.

Hey. isn't it nice to be on or almost on the same time zone as others here?

Did you try Menard's, Lowes, Home Depot or a similar chain for patio furniture? Also if you hava a Cost Plus I think they have some wooden sets. We gave ds and ddil a set for their new home so I've been shopping around.

Have fun at the shore. Everyone's going to water. We are going to the mts. soon (MT)which will have some water but it's not the ocean! Enjoy!

May the blood work be perfect and the cough turn out to be nothing but a cold taking it's time to leave.

Hmmmmmmmmm, three weeks at the shore. That's a nice amount of time. I'll be thinking of you. Haven't been back there for ten years. For some reason no other place has the same shore smell as NJ.The ocean here is very much the same as the Jersey Shore but not the same smell. Now it's the good salt water smell I'm talking about.you know that Rosemary but those that haven't been there wouldn't.

Have a good one--martha
