The Funeral Is Over.................

Even though his passing is a blessing, it still was difficult to go through all the formalities. It was so nice to have Darby come to the funeral on Sunday. I was able to introduce her to some of the important people in my life so they now know the great friend I found on the internet. Now it's time to get back to normal - whatever normal is. I have off today and tomorrow and I don't know yet about Wednesday. My son & his family just left for home. My other son had to go back to work today, but the girls are home and I might take a ride over there a little later. I had thought I could go over to my step-mom's today or tomorrow and help her with the cards, etc. but I'm having a little problem there. I don't know if she was just tired and upset last night or what, but she seemed like she might be trying to distance herself from us. I don't know what the future will bring. I pray that it turns out ok.

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on the board now. Or, maybe I'll just have to jump in at the present. Take care........ kaci

Kaci, it is difficult, regardless of the circumstances. I hope all goes well for you & your step-mom...time should help. (She may not be ready to do those cards yet...I found them hard to do.) Cal

(((KACI))) Just remember that he's at peace now. Things will eventually fall into place. Your step-mom probably isn't quite herself right now, and she's had a terrible loss as well as the rest of you. Hugs. Bea

Kaci just take it one day at a time. You step-mom maybe

distancing herself from the family, but just for a while

this is all new for her to, she doesn't know where she

stands yet. Kaci take care of yourself, let normal take

care of itself gradually. Betty hugs.
