Good afternoon, everybody.

I've been busy all day - and for once I've actually accomplished a lot. I did 6 of my upstairs windows - they were so black. We are right up on a busy road, and the car dirt is horrible. I got my laptop boxed up and sent off for repair. Made a couple of phone calls about insurance, etc. and got them all straightened out. Then - I rode my bike to the park, and walked/jogged my path there. Sure felt good to be exercising. I had done two loads of laundry, hung them out - so I have clean sheets on the bed. Now, I have salmon marinating and will cook it on the grill for supper.

Yesterday I did go visit my friend and met her daughter's family. Their little boy is one day older than my DGS - and...can I say it to you?....he's not nearly as cute and fun as my GS!! I know, I'm an obnoxious granny, but he just stood around with his thumb in his mouth! At the beach, for heaven's sake!!

Bea - everytime I read about you spending time at the lake, and the dock, etc. I'm picturing the movie "ON Golden Pond" - you must just love it there. I even picture you doing the double flip off the dock that Jane Fonda did!

Well - I've earned a glass of ice tea, and a "sit-down". Maybe I'm coming out of the cloud I've been living under for the last few months - hopefully. I've not been a happy camper - so I'm working on an attitude adjustment! Have a great evening - Rosemary

Rosemary I luv reading your post, you remind me of my friend

Carol, she has a friend that (harps on stuff forever) her

favorite saying to her friend is ( get the hell over it) and

move on. Are you a lot that way, accepting of things the way

they are? I know your GS is much more cute than your friends.

Hope your enjoying being home. Betty (I am very nosey LOL)

We'll drive down Saturday morning, Martha. Since DGS won't be there this time, we have much less to take - no port-a-crib, no wading pool, no high chair, etc. It will be a breeze - even with two bikes, food, bedding, etc. We take two cars - can't wait! Rosemary

Thanks for agreeing with me about my DGS -! LOL. As for accepting things - I can adjust to most anything, but I was having a big problem the last few weeks. Sometimes I just have to give myself a big slap and realize how good things are. It sure helps to be home. Rosemary

Rosemary it is nice to see that you are getting right back into your routine. Now about windows..We gotnew ones this year and they are so easy to clean, inside and out. I love them and they look so nice too. Living in the country we get a lot of dust and dirt too..

Have a good Thursday..Becky

Rosemary, you're too funny! You can forget about me doing any double flips off the dock--LOL!--that is only in your wildest dreams and if it should happen it would totally be accidental. Unfortunatley, I am on the other side of the mountain sliding down very carefully so as not to disrupt any bones, etc. LOL!

Glad you had a good day and got so much done. Anytime you want more windows to clean, I have plenty at both places. I am so far behind in getting things done because of this ivillage being so slow--it seems that I just wait, and wait, and wait since the new format.

Anyway, it is pleasant here at the lake and lots of company will be coming starting next week. We sort of skipped over the 4th of July this year, and next month my NY son and family will be coming down for a quick visit, so hoping to get our other son here also so that we can all be together as a family. That's getting to be rarer and rarer these days with the DGC growing older and all going in different directions and activities.

By the way, I agree, your DGS is probably the cutest little guy around, and you have every right to be proud! Hugs. Bea
