My gosh, it seems I've been here forever

I have been trying to read and catch up with some responses, but have to get the show on the road here. First off, I'm freezing and still in my bathing suit that I put on this morning and I really should be in longjohns. The wind is howling and DH is out cutting the grass. He has also learned that when time to trim the hedges wait for a windy day as the bees and yellow jackets can't find you to sting you! It only took a lifetime of stings to discover that! The water is real choppy this morning and I think it's the type day that I'm hoping we will go out for a ride later on.
Anyway, heard on the news that MA wants to get rid of and downsize the population of the beautiful swans that adorn our Boston Gardens and our various lakes. Maybe they will keep the ones in the Gardens, but they plan on destroying the eggs, etc. as they aren't a native bird to our area. How cruel. I know they have droppings and that's always a problem in the ponds and lakes, but I just can't picture destroying such a beautiful creature.
Well, on with the day. I feel real bad about the 5 year old autistic boy that was in the condo swimming pool and drowned and not one person even tried to save him. He must have wandered in, not knowing any better, and they are trying to find who was in charge of this child. How sad.
Hugs to all. Bea

I hadn't heard about the 5 year old drowning. I can't believe that nobody would help a child. And, they don't know who was in charge of the child??? How sad.
Sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying the weather. We still have cool weather here and after all the hot muggy days, I'm loving it. It's grrrreeeaaaaat.
