It's quiet here and so isn't the lake!

Went to our first outdoor Concert on the Church Green for the season--we usually have about 4 every summer on Friday evenings and it's fun. Weather didn't cooperate and we had to sit under umbrella as it drizzled, had to zip up jackets to keep from freezing. Our friends didn't show up because of the weather--wimps. ;-)
We will be meeting with them Tuesday night here at our place and then DH is going to drive further down to the Cape to a restaurant which we have tried a few times and we like it. It's very informal and I hope they like it also. We will come back to our place for dessert and coffee afterwards.
In the meantime, I am working on a cross stitch to give to friends of ours--for no occasion but just because she always admires the pieces I make and I think she will really enjoy having one. I very seldom make a piece for others except for my own family members because there is a lot of work and many, many hours put into each piece.
Well, off for another day. Uh oh, my neighbor just came in from water skiing and no spotter on the boat--bad news. It's not like him to be so lax and break a law!
Hugs to all. Bea

I even love a haze over the water.Something very calming to me.I'm sure the sunny days are better though. What's going with the weather--it's cold, and then too hot. Here it's just hot.
Enjoy the weekend-martha
Your mention of the concert reminds me of the concert that the ATL Symphony gives for free each year. We've missed the last two; I hope we have a chance to go this year. It is always delightful. They play at an open air venue that used to be a horse race track. Everyone can bring lawn chairs and picnics; the dress is very casual. Those wonderful people sit up there on stage and give a performance dressed as if they were in the symphony hall. It can be very hot, and the misquitos are terrible, but the orchestra plays beautifully.
I think you mentioned the age of our house somewhere on the board; I hadn't thought of it, but I guess it is getting old. We built it, but that was 33 years ago. LOL lottie77
