Good afternoon and a happy Sunday to all of you. I just got back from church and plan to have a relaxing day today. I don't want to put any "work" on my agenda because tomorrow I have to go back to work and I have to work 3 days this week. Ds & his gf are planning to make cheeseburger soup today. They've invited my 2 daughters and one of the grandkids will be here too. It's such a nice day that I intend to sit in the backyard in my swing or lawnchair and enjoy the birds and the breezes. It's suppose to be rather warm again today, but I hope there'll be some nice breezes to make it comfortable.

Yesterday ds decided he wanted to finish making the flowerbed that I've been working on for two summers. It involved digging up quite a bit of sod and placing decorative bricks around the area. There were some tree roots to work around and he's been helping by chipping away at the bricks at strategic places so they would fit well. There's a circle around a tree and then an inner circle to bring the bed up a bit higher. Everything is done except for completing the inner circle. We ran short of bricks. I want to finish it up the end of the week on my next days off. That part will be easy because there are not roots there to work around. Then, I want to plant some hosta in the upper ring and I'm not sure what I'll put in the lower one. I was thinking of creeping phlox but have to check if that needs full sun. If so, I'll have to check around to see what else I want in there. I'd prefer to put periennels there so there's not so much upkeep every year.

And now, I have a few e-mail to catch up on before I go out to lounge. Y'all have a great day......... kaci

Hi Kaci,

I hope that your day turned out the way you wanted it to. It did sound so relaxing. Our temps were actually out of the high 90"s and into the mid 80's and it really felt so much better.

We are in the process of putting raised flower beds around our live oaks in front of our house. The trees are huge and as soon as the landscaper comes up with a price and has the time to start work will begin. May not happen till fall as he is very busy.

Becky
