Hi to everyone, hope you are all well, I am starting to feel stronger thank goodness, had to visit my Dr. today, she was happy thinks I am looking like me again, increased the tablet by another half, hopefully that will be all that is needed, my brain has stopped racing, I have never been more grateful, it is an awful symptom.

Yesterday when having a rest I read some of my elderly Aunt's old letters. she is 90 & lives in Cardston, Canada, we don't write now because of her age, I try to ring as often as I can, have fallen behind somewhat these last few months but will try to get her tomorrow, the first thing she will say to me will be " Doreen I love to hear your dear old Aussie voice" I will feel like crying of course, I hope she will know me as she was getting fairly forgetful last time. Her only surviving child, my cousin John lives in Arizona, she would like to shift there but the Canada Health system is so good, also her finances would be devalued. By the way I am not going to destroy the letters even given their age I enjoyed them so much.

Bye for now Dear Friends, love & HUGS Doreen.

Do save those letters.Hope your children will too.My dd is doing family history and letters such as you have would be a prize. How nice that she is 90 and seems of good mind.See, you have good genes.

Glad that the Dr. visit was not a bad one.Is your health care the same as in Canada?I know quite a few Canadians and they are happy with their care.We keep being told that they must wait ages to have things done, but we wait here too.

Keep up the good work.Love hearing you're stronger.martha

Hi Doreen,

As always I enjoyed your post so much. How wonderful that you are keeping your Aunts old letters. Perhaps one day your children or DGC will enjoy reading these same letters.

Speaking of letters, it reminded me that I have a shoebox full of letters I received from my DH when we were young and not married and some when we were first married 42 years ago. I have read over them and perhaps one day I will give them to my DD's to read. Hmmmmmm. I had better read them over again to be sure they should be reading such things about their parents..LOL

Have a good Thursday and keep up the continued rise to better health.

Hugs..Becky

So glad to hear that you are feeling better..

Aren't those old leters wonderful...I have every letter and card and my son wrote when he was little..some day I will give those back to him..lol..Like Becky I saved every letter from my ex but burned all of those when we split..and now I save every card that Earl gives me...when Im old and grey I will enjoy looking at them..lol

I under stand that Canada has very good health coverage...they are still fighting over the Medicare changes here..it seems to be a poitical thing and they are not thinking about the seniors!!!! As Martha says I better get off my soap box..lol

Hugs Judi

Those letters could really be treasures to some members of the family. I would love to have more of both of my GM's letters; unfortunately, they got thrown away when we had to move my parents to be closer to me. I've come across only one, that was in Daddy's papers; it was written in about 1940. It was his mother's letter and barely concealed the hard times she must have been having. She was widowed at a very young age and had the five children to raise alone.

I hope you continue to feel and be better with your medications. {{{HUGS}}} lottie77

Oh Doreen, it's so good to hear that your feeling better than before. So glad that they finally found a med that will help you feel good and back to normal again. I am so leery of dr.s--they are there to help us, but they have to learn about our symptoms and our body through trial and error and sometimes the cure is worse than the problem. Please stay on the mend and may each day improve for you.

So glad you had your aunt's letters to read--aren't they precious and such a lovely keepsake. I bet her handwriting is the old fashioned cursive that was so beautiful many years ago. These sound like something that should be kept, valued and passed on down through the family!

Have a good day and I just had to give you a big "hi" this morning (I know your sleeping right now) and hope that you have a great day! Hugs. Bea
