I feel like I've been missing in action, and can't remember my last post. Time is short, as usual, company will be knocking on the door in a few hours and here I still sit in my old tee that I wear for nighttime here at the lake. I can't be seen in it--it's so old it's a disgrace, but oh, s-o-o-o-o-o comfortable.

Anyway, last Friday we took in a Concert on the Church green, outdoors, and drizzly rain and friends didn't show up, but DH and I enjoyed it anyway. Saturday, we had company and we all went out to a buffet and then back to another couples house. Sunday, we had to straighten up around here and DH spent some time downloading some card programs for me, and then to find out that out of five of them only one works, so today he is taking over and deleting and also installing the new Norton's. Monday, we raced out of here at 6 a.m. and I'm fighting the tummy problem with this early start, but hoping that I can overcome all this in due time--weather was rainy and we spent time doing errands, etc. and it wasn't raining back home so DH cut the grass, got the car sticker, while I had a leisurely cup of coffee with my neighbor on her front porch of whom I haven't seen for ages. Tuesday, our friends came and parked here and DH did the driving and we went to the Cape for dinner and then did quite a bit of sightseeing, took up about 5 hours of just being a tourist. Wednesday, rain again, out to BJ's to bring back a defective ink cartidge and we didn't have the sales slip but there wasn't a problem with the exchange because it was still in date and the UPC's matched. Would be upset if they didn't honor it because the darn thing is about $30.00. Well, here I am today, and have to turn this over to DH now--won't even have time to read the newspapers, but just wanted to get in a "hi" and yes, I'm still hanging around.

Tomorrow night, going to another Concert on the Church Green and then next day Florida company is coming in, and here we all sit, nobody knows whose door they are going to knock on and stay with. Oh well, I've never quite thought this too fair to the rest of us, but for some reason they just don't like to make definite plans. So, we'll see who and when it's our turn!

So, a quick "hi" to Judie, Di, Velma, Betty, Rosemary, Cal, Doreen, Kaci, Becky, Mindy, Lottie, Martha, Darby, Jackie and everybody else that is jumping in if there are some newcomers.

Gotta' go--the lake is quiet. DH got the mooring in the other day also, but the little sailboat isn't in yet. We are so far behind........................Bea

First, did miss your posts.Always so nice.

My hubby was so busy with the music that it became a job. Those concerts he did were 7 days a week at all the towns up and down the shore. Then he played one of the big hotels in one of the towns, both Dixieland in the afternoon and lead a 14 piece dance band at night a couple of nights a week.He was very active in the musicians union--an officer, and so on. Moving here he decided you can't do it half way and this is our time.In some ways I'm sorry, but even at that, there comes a time when you can't blow as well as when you are younger.I forgot all the weddings and such too.

We also have been within a couple of blocks of the Jersey Shore all our lives.I brought my kids up on the beach. We would have stayed if our kids didn't move out of state and there is no other family. We love where we choose to live in Fl.The only sad part is not being near the children, but, one is in PA and the other in Calif. You can't go to one without hurting the other.

My goodness this is long, hope I didn't bore you too much. You can see though why I love your posts. You take me with you and I enjoy that. martha

Hi Bea.

Good that you could drop in to say that "HI" and catch us up on your comings and goings. Wow have you been busy. Sounds like you are having a lot of rain too or does it just seem to rain on your outdoor events. Mother Nature's little joke I believe.

Hope your tummy got better and that all went well.

We do miss you when you are absent. I love your posts..

Becky
