Just a pleasant quiet day here today

Hi Friends, as you can see I have not got a lot of exciting news to report today, it is still very cold but we are very comfortable in our home. DS was very good, he knew we had to get medication today, he rang to say he would be over in a few minutes to go to the Chemist for us, what a blessing, it seems such an effort now to get the car out & then tootle off to the shop.

DS has two weeks holiday, I am very happy about this as he was looking tired, his early hours are not easy especially in winter, the children are in school so John & Sharon are going to have some quiet time together, some outings, films perhaps. A holiday away is out of their budget as they have 3 at a private school, there is only one salary coming into the home, Sharon's eyes now make it impossibe to work, she has never worked since they had their first child 5 years after they married, we are rather happy about this as too many children come home to empty homes.

I have been able to prune 4 standard roses the last couple of days, that has to be my limit for standing, should have the standards finished this week then Jack will do the lower bush roses I cannot manage now, my wonderful 90 year old neighbour has nearly finished hers, an absolute wonder

Bye for now girls have a happy day, love & HUGS Doreen.

I like roses very much also; we have a few bushes, but the Japanese beetles really love to eat them. We are giving up on the plants; we have worked so hard on them, but we just can not seem to over come that particular pest.

I hope you are feeling much better and that all of your efforts with your flowers will pay off in beautiful blooms.

Hi Doreen.

I am never sure what our time difference is, but I think you might be just getting up or something like that.

I hope that my daughters will be there for me the way that your son is there for you. He is a really fine young man. I know that you are so proud of him.

You must feel better just getting outside even if it is for a limited time. You must never give up and I don't feel like that you are the kind of lady that ever will.

Have a wonderful Tuesday..

Becky

Doreen:

Hi....your story of your roses brings back memories of my dear friend and her trimming of her roses every summer. Enjoy
