Hi All! I thought it was about time I checked in again. All is well here. I have been spending less time on the computer lately--found I wasn't getting much else done so had to cut back my computer time :-) We had a wonderful trip in April to Minnesota. Our nephew got married in Mpls. on May 19th. Our DD and DS were able to join us there along with two of our DGC and we had a ball. The GC LOVED the Mall. They just opened the Nickelodeon park which replaced the Snoopy theme park and boy oh boy did they have a good time. They also enjoyed the aquarium--my 3 yr. old DG loves turtles and at one point she stopped in her tracks and all she could say was WOW :-) The time passed much too quickly. I am very lucky to have terrific in-laws--they not only took me into the family they took me into their hearts and any time I get to visit with them is always special.
Our DS left last Saturday for 2 weeks in CHINA! He has been planning this trip for a long time and has always been fascinated by the culture. Personally, I will be very glad when he is back in the USA!! He will be in Beijing and another town I can't spell or pronounce :-) I can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about it.
I hope you all have a lovely Thursday. Rosemary--you are in my thoughts and I send you big hugs and think of you at 11 am PDT. Dutch -- I loved your pictures what wonderful memories. Lottie I hope all is well with you and DH and hope to join you soon at the kitchen sink. Betty -- you are such a wonderful friend and I am so happy to hear from you and read your caring posts--hugs to you and all the fantastic friends on this board. Mindy, Jacquie, Bea, Becky, Darby and all the newcomers too just love hearing about all your adventures and YUMMY recipes and hints. I know I have missed some names so I will just say Hello to all of you and hope you have a great Thursday!
Hugs,
Carol J

I hope to be checking in more often--but I am suppose to have Jury Duty next week, so I may be out of touch again for a while.
Enjoy your dinner!
Hugs,
Carol
Oh heck Carol I wish you had not mentined jury duty, I am do and I just hate it. I get nervous would you believe in front of a lot of people, mainly because if I acted nervous when I was being grilled the balliff would always report to Vern,"hey your wife sure was nervous" .

Carol I am glad you don't have to do jury, its not a fun things. They always pass me on anyway with Vern being in law-enforcement they just want you to show up.
If we get to come to Reno, it will be on a tues and come home friday, we have to wait until Vern gets the word on somethings he is waiting for. I would imagine around 17th of June. There is a golf course that we love in Reno that we want to check and see if we can play on. One hole is over water and you land on this island and hope your ball does stay on the green.

Hi Carol, I have also had to cut back on computer time, and then when I do get on I have problems getting the tool bar to come up at different times, although it seems lately it's been working better.
Hugs,
Carol
We are waiting for our DD and family to arrive for a cookout. Today is my DHs birthday and he is going to grill Tri Tip and a small pork roast. We will have corn, macaroni salad and garlic bread. DD made him a rhubarb pie (his favorite) and i baked brownies--it is not dessert if it isn't chocolate according to my DSIL :-) Als have to have strawberries and watermelon for my two little GSs.
Have a happy Memorial Day!
Hugs,
Carol
hi carol...i love minnesota..did you drive up there..we took a couple of trips up 61 thru la crosse and that is a very scenic drive, with all the glaciers and the mississippi river! never been to the mall though.we want to get back up there to red wing one day, maybe when the gas goes back down to 99cents a gallon..LOLOLOL i kill
Good to see you Carol. Wondered what happened to you. (I should talk - I don't get here very often lately)
I was at the Mall of America once. I wasn't impressed - toooo big. I prefer the King of Prussia Mall outside of Philly. Maybe if I took dgd there and saw it through her eyes I'd change my mind.
Glad you're back!
