Have you ever decided against using something your MD prescribed? I seem to have so many reactions to both RX and OTC meds, that I hesitate to take some. Right now I'm doubting whether I want to continue the statin RX - I seem to be very achy and tired. Kinda like having the flu.

Jacquie

I have done that so many times, the dr's will forget and prescribe me something and not check that I am Anaphalaxis, I go to pick it up and the tech will tell me that I better not take it. So I don't take a lot, I am really afraid to take most things. I hope that I am healthy, I am just about finished with dr's. My girlfriend stopped taking statins they made her feel like she had the flu, talk to you dr.

Jacquie, there are many statins out there and if one doesn't agree with you, by all means tell the dr. and try another.

Hi Jacquie--just wanted to say that I think you should check with your dr. Years ago i had lots of problems with bladder infections and was taking medication for it. The med gave me horrendous stomach cramps but i never told the dr. I chalked it up to side effects and thought i had to grin and bear it. Finally told the dr. and he did some checking and it turned out that i am sensitive to sulfa and infection i had was resistant to sulfa. He put me on a sulfa-free medicine, the infection cleared up and i never had another bladder infection. So the moral of this long boring story is don't suffer in silence. you don't want to risk a heart attack or stroke.
I will be quiet now :-)
