Well, for a holiday weekend, it's quiet here at the pond. A few fishermen out, a few jet skiis out and just a few boaters. Price of gas is really going to raise havoc this year, the water sports slowed down a lot last year and I can just imagine what it will be this year.
We aren't planning anything at all, just probably a little cookout for just us--we also had a cookout last night, it was easier and finally we have some food in this house. My first trip down I didn't bring enough, thought I had left a few things here, but I was so thorough last year cleaning up that I took every bit home. Oh well, we survived.
Oldest son is working today, youngest son has BIL and SIL and family there for company this weekend.
We are going home tomorrow for rubbish collection, laundry, pick up the mail, do errands, banking, etc. The usual stuff that we usually do whenever we get home on our normal collection day of Monday, but one day late this week because of the holiday. DH has 8 trashbarrels of leaves to be put out, and when they are picked up he is hoping to rake and fill them again for next week, so we're hoping that it won't be raining--we are supposed to get sporadic showers.
Have a question--is there anybody on this board that does NOT have cable besides me, and has anybody bought those boxes that you can get the $40.00 coupons for and they cost about $50.00 each so in essence will cost us only $10.00 a box? We are going to try them, limit 2 coupons per address.
Another question--does anybody here NOT have pierced ears, like me--or am I the only one on this board and probably in the whole world.
Well, enough of the "this and that" and hope that everybody is well--have a good day, hugs.

Hugs,
Carol

Bev:
I had my children's pediatrician pierce my ears in 1980.
I guess Im fine with clip ear rings even though some of them can be annoying.

OK, here goes:
Hi Bev:
If you have a lot of clip earrings, you can convert them to lapel pins.
