Hello everybody--good weather day!

A happy start of a new week to all! I am here for a very short hello, and have so much to do I just don't know where to start. First off, DH has his back bothering him quite bad, and both knees are acting up, and he finds it so hard to walk--he has to give it time and yet he wants to do so much. Tomorrow we will be going home for our usual Monday morning rubbish collection and other chores, and hope that it won't turn out to be the fiasco of last week again.
Anyway, my biggest concern as of right now is that our youngest son is in China and I sure would appreciate some traveling prayers for him. He will be gone for two weeks and I know that he misses home tremendously. He will miss Lydia's (the youngest) Confirmation, and David's sr. ball this year, and get home just in time for the family wedding coming up one day later. I just don't know how he will handle the jet lag, and I don't even know the time difference between there and here.
I'm off, it's a good day here, but I'm afraid there isn't much that we can do until DH starts to unkink a little. Have a good day everybody, hugs.

Dear Bea -
Me thinks you are working/worrying too much! Hey - relax. I am so sorry that DH is having pain in back and knees - that is so debilitating. Somehow caring for two homes would have me in a frenzy too - but of course you have two lovely places that you love. As for your son - that is a huge trip - the time lag is probably so large it might not matter as much as a lesser lag of 5 or 6 hours. At least on the long flight home he should be able to sleep.
I got a call this morning that DD is home - and happy to be with her boys again. With a 5-hour difference is causes a change in bed times for a few days - but she will be fine. We have had a quiet day here - just remembering the good time we had all last week.
I hope your tomorrow trip will be easy and routine - and then perhaps this week will settle into some form of normalcy for you. Hope you are having our gorgeous weather - we lunched on the patio - then I sat out reading for awhile - but now we are in with the AC on - real summertime.
Take care - Rosemary
I thought I might be able to make you feel better about your DS's trip to China. Our DS just returned from the Beijing and Chi-on (sp???) area and he had a wonderful time--did come home early because he was so tired but didn't seem to have jet lag when he returned home. He forced himself to stay up and go to bed at his usual time and went back to work on Friday. The time difference for us -- California to Beijing was 15 hrs--in other words when it was 5:15 pm here it was 8:15 am the next day there!! My DS said the people were very friendly and sometimes he had to pinch himself because he couldn't believe he was actually there. I hope this helps relieve some of your worries and that you have a more relaxing week!
Hugs,
Carol
