I Think I Conquered It

I awoke at about 6:30 this morning with a headache.  I got up and had some coffee and took an allergy pill.  Those are both things that usually will take care of the problem.  That wasn't the case this time though.  So, I pulled the shades in the bedroom and went back to bed.  After resting and a little nap, it seems to be gone.  I hope it doesn't come back.  It seems to be a nice sunny day here again today and I'd like to spend some time outside.

Yesterday dd & I took a little ride (about 50 miles or so) to the cemetery where my mom & dad are buried.  My stepmother always took care of putting flowers on the grave but my aunt told me that last time she was there, nothing had been done.  When we got there, we found that was still the situation.  I guess she's decided that after five years (since my dad - her husband died) she wasn't going to do it any more.  So, we put a nice new bouquet on there and I'm going to have to talk to my brother and see if we can come up with a schedule of each of us taking turns to keep it looking nice.

Hi Kaci -
I think I read last week about your having a colonoscopy - but can't recall if it's over or still to come. Either way - good luck - that's a test I've avoided - figure I'm being treated for everything that can be treated and don't want to deal with anything else right now. I know - that's hiding my head in the sand - but I'll gamble on it. DH has them every 5 years - his father had polyps removed regularly - so I guess it's good he's going for the test.

Glad you mastered your head ache - you needed that extra rest. Rosemary

Hi Kaci--hope your headache stayed gone and that you got to enjoy the sunny day.
We are fortunate that my DSIL takes the urn out to my DMIL's grave every year--she lives close by. MY other SIL would also do it -- if need be and she keeps an eye out at estate sales and garage sales for pretty silk flowers to replenish the urn as needed. We use the silk flowers so that no one needs to be running out there to water or tend to the urn during the warm months. Since we are 1500 miles away this is a task we can't help with.
Hope you have a good Sunday evening.
Carol
