Wild Weather

I'm ready for this wild weather to stop now.  Thursday I was up at about 4:15 a.m. because there was a line of very strong storms going through.  We were in a tornado watch and close to a severe thunderstorm warning.  My rain gauge showed about 2-1/2 inches of rain, which we did need.  Luckily no hail fell at my house but it was reported all around me.  Today we're in the area that's deemed likely to get severe weather again.  The seven day outlook shows rain forcasted six of the seven days.  The rain I can handle, the dreariness is a little harder but the severe weather is very difficult for me to endure.

I'm 175 miles South of you and watching the same weather front move in. The forecast here is for the usual tornado/thunderstorm/hail/high winds which we have seen so much of lately. There will only be one decent (though hot) day out of the next 4! We are planning on a few days in St Louis late next week, but if the storms keep rolling in, we may give up. The humidity is very high and I had to spread some insecticide on the yard, so had it done by 7:30 today. The stuff needs to be watered in, but I'll save the $$ and let Mother Natue take care of it. I will get to my walk shortly, as the wind keeps me from overheating.

After that, it's back in my A/C room to work on computer stuff. I have decided to clear out some old dishes and collectibles on eBay. Some of it belonged to my grandmother, but not very valuable, just sentimental to me. At this stage of life I've realized that leaving these to my DSs would probably mean the DDILs would have no interest in displaying the pieces. So they would wind up in a box in THEIR basement for years. Better to sell them to some one who might appreciate them. I would love to use the dishes everyday, but they aren't made for dishwashers and I'm too lazy to wash by hand. Besides, DH refuses to use anything but Corelle. That's because his DM used fine thin china and Corelle comes the closes to it - he hates thick pieces.

Take care,
Jacquie

I've been watching the weather pretty closely lately and I see that your area is wore than here.
